The thick velvet with the cutouts in refined satin refer to the tradition among some African tribes of adorning their bodies by means of scarification, to mark milestone stages in both men’s and women’s lives. The opposite direction in which the velvet fabric runs inside and outside the satin strips, gives the cushion a special and sumptuous look.
The front flows seamlessly into the back (direction of the fabric runs horizontally). The non-toxic, protective treatment of the velvet fabric allows the complete removal of the common stains.
