Uniting eye-catching creations in a harmonious arrangement, all MioMia compositions honor the sophisticated fabrics they are made of, strong in itself yet in a sublte way intensified by one another. Let’s take a closer look.
Gracefully curated
Each composition consists of several textile pieces (from framed fabrics and cushions to poufs) made from refined fabrics, of European origin, that are carefully selected by MioMia’s founder Christel Guinée. During the curation process, fabrics are combined with a clear vision in mind: Intensifying Living or creating a vibrant atmosphere. The compositions take the spectator on a sensory journey, evoking emotion or memories of faraway and exotic places.
Whilst all MioMia compositions are offered in their entirety, their pieces are unique in themselves. That is why MioMia also offers them separately.
Textile as the protagonist
The characteristics of the fabric determine the appearance of the end product. From hypnotizing, relaxing colors to bold vivid patterns, the fabrics always evoke an emotional response. During the curation process, size, color, pattern and structure are carefully combined into a unique, harmonious and occasionally daring composition.
The eyecatcher of the composition
The framed textile is often the eyecatcher of the composition. Its fabric is intentionally not placed behind glass so that it remains tactile and responds to its environment, which requires taking certain measures according to the moisture content and temperature of the room where it is placed. A framed textile is not only decorative, but also functions as an acoustic panel, resulting in a multisensory experience.
The signature framed textile is supported in color and pattern by its associated MioMia pieces, designed to visually enhance the framed textile in one way or another.
How a cushion adds to your interior
Letting the same pattern come back in different pieces works great but mixing and matching them can be interesting too. It’s a technique known for adding depth, warmth and dynamics to a space, for Intensifying Living. Cushions are the perfect items to create a big impact with minimal effort, resulting in a unique mix of fabrics. “If you want to tweak your interior, but you’re not ready for a complete update, a new set of cushions makes a big difference”, Christel explains.
